Port to Python 3

Is there any chance that this will be ported to Python3 and the future dependency removed?

The project is ported to python3 and tested up to python 3.9. Is there any particular issue you are facing with python3?
Dropping support for 2.7 is a different story.

PS: this project does not have any active maintainer at the time.

I am sorry I think it is actually the domain-connect-dyndns part that causes the issue. It depends on python future. To use it with my ionos domain I need to keep python 2 installed.

@lawa42 I just installed domain-connect-dyndns on python 3.12 without any issue.
If you have any particular issue please provide some installation logs without python 2.7 and your system configuration to see what is the actual problem.

I believe the dependency on python-future can be dropped for all of Python 3.x as I explained here: Domain-Connect/domainconnect_python#26

@gwuen thanks for this information. I was not aware of the issue with 3.13.
