At the top of the 'Aggregation rules' page of the docs is a link to an old Trac ticket at https://cf-trac.llnl.gov/trac/ticket/78 covering (presumably, without being able to see it) the history of the development of the CF aggregation rules, but the URL is not resolving:
$ curl -i https://cf-trac.llnl.gov/trac/ticket/78
curl: (6) Could not resolve host: cf-trac.llnl.gov
which I imagine is due to the site in question being so old it no longer exists, but that is unclear. (I don't think the fact the link is down relates to the current CF Conventions website issues covered at https://github.com/orgs/cf-convention/discussions/466#discussioncomment-16636564, since it is a different domain.)
@davidhassell please let me know the most appropriate way to handle this - which to me seems to be, just to remove the link, since the page contains plenty of information which can provide context and explain aggregation without the need for the history.
