Current behaviour

According to @lwouis of AltTab (a 3rd party window switcher), Joplin is reporting multiple hidden empty windows to the OS.

That means AltTab is displaying these multiple empty windows when switching windows (when AltTab is activated). Video showing the problem:

Expected behaviour

Joplin should not be producing hidden empty windows.

Joplin's plugin system currently assigns each plugin its own hidden window. Does the issue persist with all plugins disabled?

That's it, for sure. I have 7 empty windows for 7 enabled plug-ins.

Edit: And yes, when I disable a plug-in, an empty window goes away.
